Reframe the way you think about leadership

Executives and boards are being challenged to rethink leadership. Over the last decade leadership has transformed from managing staff to achieve tasks to coaching and mentoring a team. Many of the same issues with new leaders challenged by increased responsibilities that include people still exist, however, employees are expecting a different approach.
Great leaders understand and guide a philanthropic culture that permeates every corner of the organisation and empowers people to make decisions, achieve and fail with support. The capacity for a leader to be transparent, empathetic and approachable while still garnering respect does not occur overnight.
Research continually highlights the impact supporting and training leaders has on organisation performance. With a recent FIA paper stating that professional development for leaders was XXXXXXX. Whether it is helping leaders work with their teams, network with supporters or influence the board, an investment in training and mentoring will significantly benefit the organisation.
